Contest Rules

Rules of Entry:

Number of Entries:  Each contest will state the number of entries allowed.  Some will be one, others will be multiple entries.  Please follow the rules – any entries that don’t follow the rules will be disqualified.

Valid Email Address Required.  If you don’t enter with a valid email address, I cannot contact you when you win!  So use a real email address.  If I don’t receive a response from the winner within 5 days, I’ll choose another winner.

If you’ve won another contest here in the last 30 days, you are ineligible to win again.  Just for 30 days, not forever!  Let’s let everyone have a chance to share the fun.

Valid US mailing address required to win.

No entries will be accepted after the contest deadline.  You’ll still be able to leave a comment, but it won’t enter you into the contest.

Winner Determination

Unless otherwise indicated, winner will be chosen at random via random number generation.

Winner Notification

After each contest, there will be a post on this blog announcing the winner(s).  Winner(s) will also be notified by email through the email address provided.  Generally the winner(s) will be contacted within 24 hours of the contest’s conclusion.  If I do not receive a response within 5 days, another winner will be chosen.

Shipping of Prizes

Sometimes I ship the prizes.  Sometimes my sponsors do.  If I’m doing the shipping, I’ll try my hardest to ship the prize within one week.  But I’ve got 2 small kids, a side job and other obligations, and sometimes a trip to the post office is just harder than it seems.  I will do my best to notify you of any shipping delays.

Rights and Responsibility

Balm Diggity and I are not responsible for items damaged or lost in the mail, or otherwise unsatisfactory to you.  I do contests and giveaways because it’s fun and I enjoy it, and as a way to give back to my readers.  Part of what you’re agreeing to when you enter a contest here is that I’m one person, and I’m not all powerful. If there’s a problem, it’s probably nobody’s fault, so I trust we can all still be civil adults about it.

(Thanks to and for inspiration on contest rules.)
