Mission Skincare Update

I went to CVS this past week, and hit the motherload of mission skincare lip balm. I’m now the proud owner of the Blueberry Pomegranate Mega Balm and the Pink Lemonade, Pomegranate and Organic Strawberry regular sized balms. All are fantastic, though I think the Acai Lemonade is still my favorite.

If you want to get some of your own, CVS has them Buy 1 get 1 50% off now. I found them on a red display on the side of an end cap.

I hate it when this happens!

I was all set to tell you all about my favorite, best night-time lip balm ever.  (See – you know a true lip balm addict when they have different lip balms for different times of the day.)  And then I discovered while googling, they don’t make it anymore!  I’m far more disturbed about this than I should be.

In case you’re curious, my before bed balm is (or was, I suppose) Neutrogena Honey Rescue Balm.  Sigh.  Smelled great, super long lasting moisture, and it really leaves lips feeling soft.  Damn you, Neutrogena!

I suppose it’s kind of my own fault for not discovering this until it was too late.  My Target was always out of this flavor, so I had my mom pick up all they had at hers.  And since I pretty much only use it before bed, the 4 pots she gave me lasted a long time.  I guess I’m on the hunt for a new night-time balm.

Got a favorite night balm?  Please let me know.

First post!

I’ll admit it – I’m a lip balm freak.  Sure, I could dress it up a little and say I’m a lip balm aficionado, but I’ll be realistic. 99% of the time, lip balm is the only make up product you’ll find me wearing, and I’m always willing to try a new brand.  I’m quite the lip balm snob too.  It must be genetic, because my sister suffers from the same malady.  My kids are yet to be affected, though they do like “wip balm”.

So, I hope you enjoy reading as I continue with my lip balm obsession.  At least this’ll give me a reason for buying new kinds of balm, right?
